Christmas at Blackwater Station
Christmas is my favorite holiday. My mama always made Christmas extra special. No matter what was going on around us, when Christmas time rolled around, all was merry and bright in our home. We made cookies and ornaments, wrote letters to Santa, went Christmas caroling, listed to Alabama Christmas and Brenda Lee records on the record player, and danced throughout the house.
When we bought this property for Blackwater Station, we envisioned many things happening in the lawn overlooking the creek. When a family member asked if we would be interested in partnering with him on a Christmas Maze, we naturally agreed. And from that, “Christmas at Blackwater Station” was born! With over 500,000 lights, we had a lighted walk-thru maze, s’mores around the fire pit, hot chocolate and popcorn, glow-in-the-dark yard games, black light snowball fights, Christmas music, our furry highland pet bull Fergus, The Grinch, and, of course, Santa.
We created magic and it was perfect! Families came from all over to make memories and start a new tradition. The smiles and laughter will carry us through the year until we can do it all again, bigger and better. So mark your calendar for the 2nd Annual Christmas at Blackwater Station! We can’t wait to meet you!
